Thanks, Eleanor! Okay - so the rules of the Bookworm MeMe are:
1. Grab the nearest book*.
2. Open the book to page 56.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next two to five sentences.
5. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book or the intellectual one. Pick the Closest.
6. Tag five people to do the same
*Can't be the Bible.
So, here goes:
My book at hand is "The Best Year of Your Life - Dream It, Plan It, Live It" by Debbie Ford.
Line 5 of Page 56 = "Do It! Create A Clean Slate - Make a list of the unresolved projects, tasks, and relationships that are keeping you tied to the past and blocking you from expressing your greatest self. Identify the actions you will need to take to bring closure to each incomplete issue from your past. Imagine how good it will fell to have a clean slate on which to create the best year of your life."
A long-time friend of mine, Tina, is studying to become an inspirational life coach, and pointed me in the direction of this author, whose books and seminars have been life-changing for her. I thought, "...life changing? I could use a different perspective right about now!", so I went down and checked out "The Right Questions" from our local library. It was so inspiring, I purchased a copy to keep, and went and checked out "The Best Year of Your Life". I'll be purchasing a copy to keep of this book as well.
Being rather methodical and detail-oriented by nature, these two books are not only inspiring, but give me lists to guide me. Forget New Year's resolutions, I now have A PLAN! For people who are better at visualization than I, you may want to try "The Dark Side of the Light Chasers" which is another one I checked out, but will need to have another go at once my plan is in place and being executed so I can carve out the necessary quiet time.
Like Eleanor Thorne, Cary Mortgage Loans did her selection, I highly recommend "The Best Year of Your Life - Dream It, Plan It, Live It" for anyone working on business plans, or more complete, life plans.
Now, the 5 people I'm privileged to tag are:
•1) Krista Bolf - Coldwell Banker Prowest Ashland Realtor
•2) Sean Keene - Salem/Keizer Realtor (because your new to AR - why wait a year to figure MeMe's out, like I did? ;->)
•3) Janet Guibalt - RPM Mortgage
•4) Lisa Hill - Daytona Beach Real Estate
•5) Linsey Planeta - Belterra Fine Homes
Hope the five of you have as much fun with this as I did!
See you out there!
