Last week, I wrote a post entitled Home Values. In this post, I mention that in buying a home in today's economy, most people have to think long term and not a quick dollar. If you stay with this type of thought pattern, then buying a home today should be on your agenda. What concerns me the most is the people that think that they should buy today and attempt to flip the house in a year or two. Personally, I think that this is the wrong mentality to have.
Back when I was growing up, buying a house was a 10 to 15 year commitment if not long. Today, it seems to be a 2 to 5 year deal and I think it is that practice that is partly to blame for the surplus of homes that flooded the market. I will leave it there and you can read the rest of my thought on the other article if you like. Ultimately, this is just my opinion.
