On Saturdays my wife works so my two daughters (7 and 5) and I like to get in some Daddy Daughter time. It has become tough to find unique things to entertain them, and make the day special.
We have been to the movies, but I feel that we are wasting away in the theater because there is no interaction. Some of our favorite activites are going to Lifetime Fitness to climb the rock wall or play in the pool. I discovered about 10 days ago that the both enjoy going to one of those pottery places, painting a piece and coming back in a week after it has been fired up in the kiln. I like it beacuse we can do it on rainy days, and days that are too hot. I also think that it is great for their creativity.
Last weekend we did a 4.2 mile walk / razor scooter ride. I am kind of looking for suggestions here as well as other ideas to spend quality time with my children. We have been to the Zoo, Wild Animal parks, museums.
Maybe hike South Mountain from the back? Does any one know if that is a good idea with two youngsters? Is there any easy trailhead with stuff to see. Any other hikes nearby that are fun/ educational?
Thank you inadvance for your feedback.
