Highlands Ranch Homes Rule! We've known all along that Highlands Ranch is the best place in the country to live, but this week, Money Magazine made it official. From the Denver Business Journal: Colorado small cities are on Money magazine's latest list of America's 100 "best places to live," with Fort Collins at No. 6, Highlands Ranch at No. 12 and Broomfield at No. 19. "Bikers and beers. In most parts of the country, those two elements may be reasons to move elsewhere," Money says of Fort Collins. Refresher Course - Items Needed For A Complete 1003   As I was reading through some of the blogs today, it seemed one of the hot points of discussion was that no more preapproval letters will issued. Alot has been written on this already today so I would just like to discuss one of the main issues that goes along with a pre-approval letter....a complete application. Although the main items have not changed much throughout all of the industry changes, some of them are now required before you can proceed forward. Prior to all of the changes, many Lenders would allow you to condition for these items after the loan was already being processed. Congress Passes Reform Bill - Now What? Today the Senate passed the controversial Financial Reform Bill of 2010 with a vote of 60-39. Regardless of your political affiliation, this has and will affect all of us in the real estate industry. If your like me, I have been trying to find the final version with all the changes made between the committees and have struggled to locate it. Once I found it...its not like I could understand it! I was able to locate a few websites who summarized the outcomes as it pertains to us and thought I would pass this info along. As we all know, it will take quite awhile for this bill to go into affect so although we are all worried now it seems as though alot of it will not affect us in the industry for at least 12 months if not longer.
