It's odd that we're still talking about smoking in 2016 but people still smoke. Years ago when we were looking for a home in Virginia, as soon as we walked in the door, our eyes were burning and I was having a little trouble breathing. It turns out the owners had been one heavy cigar smoker and his wife smoked about 2 packs a day.
We didn't even stay to see the rest of the house. Smoke lingers and can be trapped in porous surfaces.

Bill and Liz Spear of Re/Max in Lebanon and Mason Ohio, wrote and excellent post on the Rights of a Home Seller. It's more a list of what the Homeowner is entitled to. If you are selling your home keep these handy; if you are a Realtor tape them on your mirror and look at it every day and make sure you honor these for your Seller.
