apex nc: Cary, NC: Springs brings Strawberries. Already!
- 04/19/11 01:36 PM
I walked into DJs Berry Patch this afternoon and asked, "Are these berries from Florida, Mexico, or California." They laughed. I laughed. And I walked out with a bucket of mighty fine sweet strawberry eating.
DJs Berry Patch is located at 1223 Salem Church Road, Apex NC 27523. You can see the field from Davis Drive. Cary NC is about 500 yards away, and another mile to my house. Close enough to keep me stocked with fresh strawberries until sometime in June. You purists are allowed to pick your own. I tend to buy whatever they have on the (9 comments)
The scene is Wake County's Crowder District Park, Apex, NC. Crowder District Park is 33 acres in Eastern Apex, NC, and a great getaway, with a picnic pavilion, trails, learning center. and Turtles. And turtle scenes will be available in lakes and ponds all over the Triangle, as they come out to enjoy the sun and warm themselves after a long winter. Hmmmm. I think I have that in common with them. (9 comments)

See, that lush little crop is Poison Ivy, and it was thriving in the back yard. I got permission from the Sellers through the Listing Agent, and was allowed to go in and spray it with weed killer. I would rather pull it, but, well, it is Poison Ivy. We don't play well together... So, when the new owners move into Apex NC next month, they shouldn't have to worry about the two year (11 comments)
apex nc: Buck Fever? My Listings come equipped with Deer. Don't Everyone's Listings have Deer?
- 06/16/10 01:08 PM
When I was driving out to Heritage Pointe Last week to shoot video, I noticed a large deer in a clearing along US 64. It was odd. We are experiencing very hot weather for mid-June, with daily temperatures in the 90's. I would not expect to see deer moving in daylight in hot weather. And today, when I was going out, I looked up Patriot Drive, the first turn into Heritage Pointe, and saw a doe and a younger deer, maybe a yearling. That got me going. I dropped my flyers in the flyer boxes, and took off with the camera. (7 comments)
