A common challenge for many homeowners, who have their home on the market, is the frequency in which their home is getting shown. When a home fails to bring the potential buyer, it leaves the homeowner guessing as to why.
In the case of this home (see below), it was in an incredible location, priced comparably to those in the area but, had only two showings in two months.
When this home first went on the market, it was vacant. The homeowner, having heard of home staging, decided to bring over a few pieces to help bring warmth to the home (enter the orange sofa, palm tree and TV which you can see in the before picture below). While definitely on the right track, the home still lacked appeal.
The homeowner, feeling a little frustrated, decided to call in Atlanta's premier home staging provider, Georgia Interior Solutions. Rather than have the homeowner remove the orange sofa, I decided to incorporate it into my design plan. More on that decision can be read at my previous post titled "how we dealt with an orange sofa."
With the staging complete, I supplied the homeowner with my after pictures (which we include at no additional charge) to pass over to their agent. Those pictures, along with the warmth and cohesiveness that the home staging provided brought a binding contract in 1.5 weeks after staging.
Here's a before and after picture:
And the wonderful testimonial from the homeowner:
