Thankful Thursdays ~ Granddaughter headed to Atlanta ~ Junior Volleyball Nationals

Our oldest granddaughter plays for the Austin Junior Volleyball team and they had an exciting weekend playing in the Lone Star Volleyball Regional tournament in Austin.

On Mothers Day morning her team qualified to play at the Junior National Championships!

The end of June this eager group of girls will head to Atlanta to see how they stack up to the competition! They are learning early on that hard work can pay off handsomely. I take my hat off to these aspiring young athletes!

Coach Amy Knowles deserves a round of applause for leading this wonderful team of girls. Of course, we are partial to that #2 player :)

Dorie....My daughter played in that tournament a couple of years ago......I miss all the traveling that goes along with travel ball....It's a great sport and I hope they win it all....I'm sure you know that lots of college scouts will be there to watch!

She is so excited. As a fresman in HS she made the Varisty volleyball team and has always played in this league..so really plays all year round!

Thank you for the post about the team and about Hailey! I am SO very proud of how each of them and how hard they have worked and bought into our goal which was to qualify for Nationals. I have truly been blessed by them. As the first time coaching 15 year old young ladies.. they blew my mind on how willing they were to try the things i threw at them, and how much they trusted me to show them the way! Its amazing how must trust plays a factor in a teams successes... I love this group of young ladies. I have been the one who has been blessed by them. It has been an honor and privlegde to coach such an amazing group of young ladies!

I hope to meet you one day!
