SPANISH LOCKSMITHS REFUSE TO DO LOCKOUTS

I am reading that in a city in Spain, the local locksmiths all got together and decided they would not do anymore evictions for the banks. It took them just a few minutes to all agree and then vote it into action. What was compelling and driving the action you may wonder? TO SEE FAMILIES, WOMEN, CHILDREN AND MEN DISPLACED and humiliated while they were thrown into the streets

THE BANKS MAKING OFFERS TO GOOD TO PASS ON

The banks in Spain followed suit after their AMERICAN counterparts and offered 100% financing to anyone who applied for a home. Everyone did and the Spanish banks were amongst those banks reporting record profits and activities on their books and on their trading floors.

IS TEMPTATION AT WORK

Closer examination would reveal the giant polished CARROT used to attract all those CARROT lovers. Whether you believe that people should not get involved over there heads or agree to something and then not keep to it, one thing stands out in the end. The suffering is had to dismiss. How about there go I but for the grace of God...for starters?

OPPORTUNITY KNOCKED AND PEOPLE ANSWERED

The nature of every human being to to get ahead, prosper and to do it as a family unit. We all know there are no guarantees in life but we concentrate on the hope, the best outcome and then we move accordingly. How was anyone supposed to know that unemployment would shoe its ugly head and cause many to have to default.

KICK THEM OUT...nicely?

Yes the banks have a right to take action. READ THE SMALL PRINT. Oh they seen to that. However, what they once considered their customer and worthy of being serviced and conducting business with quickly turns into a race to dispose of the criminal, the less than worthy for not keeping to the agreement... Is there a nice way to kick millions of people into the streets nicely?

Giving opportunities to people that are not ready to handle them makes the giver suspect in my book.  Apparently there is a bunch of Spanish locksmiths that agree...

We could have used some of their caring and concern here. We have short-sale, etc., homes just sitting, banks not taking offers. All locked up; nobody able to use them at all.

I don't have the answers, I just see the banks as benefiting too much from both ends of the transaction. Something is really wrong with what's happened.

Stacey...there is no substitute for human to human interactions. Yes to your commenting. I used to blog about banks should bring their executives to the evictions and experience them up close...It should be mandatory to do 10 per year. Then perhaps they will act more civilly on the phone or when contacted

Richie, good for those locksmiths!  It sounds like it was a really easy decision for them to make.

Richie, there is no denying the pain, and the temptation, but there is no getting away from the greed that led to falling for the temptation either.  Just something to think about :)

Richie,

If I was a Spanish locksmith, I would have agreed to this in a heartbeat.

THE BALANCE

George...first off...THANK YOU because we need balance to see all the issues clearly. Yes to everyone playing a part. That being said, I have trouble seeing everyday type people who make an effort to get ahead suffer...Think: Fighting city hall? Going to the DMV...IRS nonsense and our court systems? Yes, don't bite off more than you can chew or you can choke literally holds up. Sometimes when thinking about your wife and children, you take a bigger bite hoping for the best...Remember, these are not criminals but opportunists who fate or circumstances said NO, you will not prevail.again...thank u and best G

Richie to Rich...a company versus a live human being? I vote human because I lean toward the underdog..the one who couldn't run as fast or defend as well against the blows of life...Sometimes, you have to choose a side....thank you R

SueSan...what a potent statement to make. Big Yes to this comment. Their culture apparently doesnt like this type of activity warranted or not. There go I but for the grace of God must be up and about...thank you S

Debbie...yes dear lady and I know it was not an easy decision too. HOW? They are in business to make money and failing that, they would be out on the street. Interesting role reversal thoughts here....thank you D

John G...interesting thought you are sharing that closely mirrors the ancient Judaic law of forgiving debt every 7 years so that people who mess up can begin again fresh and whole. So what did the lender do? Years prior to the expiration, they raise interest so high so to offset the loss coming at the end of the 7 seven years...Man does better without debt as he journeys
