Your passing up the sweet smell of flowers, the clouds waving to you as they go by, the sights and sounds of other life and your not seeing your like kind but instead your blinders are working and you went from three dimensional to one...You are too fixated on something
WHAT HAS YOUR ATTENTION
What is so important that it is causing you to go from point A to point B without staying in the moment while you are doing it? It is not the destination but the journey. Let those words sink in. Pause a little. Look how easy it is to become fixed on mission or objective and forget the in betweens.
WHATS THIS GUY DOING?
The other day, I literally stopped and smelled a bunch flowers. It is strange at first because it is like stepping out of your role. That is my point. It should be the other way around. We should be taking everything in like children in a toy store and then being told, its time to move on
DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AND EXPECTING CHANGE IS CALLED...
Are we all crazy or temporarily insane? Humans sure get caught up in things. It happens to the best of us. On important issues that require a hands on until completed, go to it. But most of what we do is casual and can be accomplished while we allow ourselves to just take in the grand picture and then the focus of wherever you are.
THE MOMENT SPEAKS
If you focus on anything, it become your world for that moment. Its like the whole Universe stands still and whatever you are fixated in or on willingly or via a distraction captures you. Amazing how we have that ability within us. You have to direct though. There is so much going on and closing an eye by being in a hurry doesn't make IT go away...Its you that went away!
YES YOU...
On vacation or free or time, we want to relax. This means to become less strict, less tense or anxious. Relax while you are going about your business. How about that? I guarantee you that all will be done and you can enjoy the journey too...RELAX. I tell this to people and they snap at me. They just made my point....
SHOW SOME RESPECT
On those flowers I smelled, there were several kinds and they all had a different smell, color, form and posture and that is amazing in itself. In their world, each boasts of their involvement and contribution by sharing their fullness liberally and... the birds and the bees give them their due respect constantly. Why don't you join in?
I DON'T GIVE A SNIFF!
That could be your problem. I wonder if they, in their laid back demeanor.... manage to take in us? I think they do. Can you hear them say to you as you run by...HEY!! Where you going? Whats the hurry? My name is Rose, Daffodil, Lily, Baby's Breath, Astor, Heather, Iris.... Hey you. Yea you with the nose...Can you spare a sniff or two?
