Measuring the Forests of Michigan, Gogebic County
These are a few shots from a recent trip we took to the Northern part of Michigan for a 400,000 acre inventory and appraisal.
Lots of bald eagles up here, but they are generally shy about getting their pictures taken. |
The timber in this stand is rather small, but the quality is consistently very good, a tribute to the previous corporate owners. |
One of many Forestry Camps where we live as we travel across Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Camping out saves fuel, time and money for us and our clients. |
I always enjoy the quality timber we see in the UP of Michigan. |
Three young Foresters, Rachel Kronenberg, Josh Watton, and Nick Crane posing for a quick picture before heading into the woods. |
We are always finding scraps of History out in the forest, I wonder who built this bridge, what happened to it, and why it was never rebuilt? |
I hope you enjoyed a small glimpse into a timber cruise, or inventory.
Bob
