Hustling the numbers is pretty damn effective in so many ways that it’s not even a question! :)

If we never fail at anything, we aren't trying anything new. Yawn. That won't get us anywhere.

Every no is closer to a yes.

Great point.  this is similar to the idea behind many of the sports giants, such as Babe Ruth.  While he held the record for years on number of homeruns, he was also the leader in strike outs.  You gotta try...and learn...and adapt.  that's how you win.

Failure can knock the wind out of you - but if you get up and hit back, and hit back, and hit back, success will come.

It can take a whole lot of failure before you reach success. It's the ones who keep moving forward (having learned from their mistakes) that achieve that success!

Failure is a good teacher!  YOu have to be open to it and not beat yourself up when you stumble.  Builds character!

The no's we get build character and I have enough character now. You are correct though, to succeed you have to fail along the way.

A No is not a failure.   A No is an opportunity.

I made this quote back in the early 1990's:  "If you don't ask the question that answer is already No!"

"Never assume the answer is No...if you ask, sometimes they will say Yes!"  

I believe the same is true with Failures. Failures are an opportunity to learn. To learn why you were not successful, why you did not attain success. 

Another one of my old quotes:

"If I had quite after the first time I ever failed...I would never have learned how to walk."

"Never give up on No's...sometimes they realize they should have said Yes and are waiting for you to ask again!!"

I think it was Tom Hopkins who advised us to welcome every "NO" because it brought us that much closer to a "YES!"

Every person will fail, get "NO" as a response.

What is important is what did we learn from that experience and what action will it produce.

Thomas Edison pushed past more failures than most people would endure, yet he kept going until he reached success.

I find inspiration in those who do not quite because of a failure.

Hall of Famers fail 60% of the time. The best golfers in the world are the best because of how they recover from their failures. I think you learn more from your failures than your successes. 

Michelle, Failure is a given in life. No gets through life without it.  When we embrace the "failure" we learn from it. That makes us stronger and better prepared for impending success.  

I read a book last year called "go for no".  In essence, it said we all stop when we get to the number of yeses we are shooting for in a week, or month etc.  This one said to shoot for nos.  We all know that with every no, we are one step closer to a yes.  

So, go out and get those nos!!
