Do You Want It All Or Do You Just Want Some? Will It Result In None?

Reblogger Kathy Streib

If you want to learn how to market like you mean it and learn how to keep your pipeline filled, you have no further to go than this lady. This is an example of that!!!    Think you have enough business and you don't need any more??? Don't tell Barbara Todaro that.

Just as Baskin Robbins offers 72 flavors of Ice Cream, so too are real estate agents created very differently. There are probably fewer than 72 variations. Business does not always rank at the top of the list of priorities with all agents, and therein lies the problem for most.

Yes, it can be a problem for those who want their cake and want to eat it, too!  That’s always possible in the real estate business, but it’s after the work is finished.

Some want that cake and think they will “earn it later” after their belly is full. For this reason, there are real estate agents who make the decision that a limit of “X” number of transactions will be enough.

Is there ever enough in the real estate business?  When we least expect it, the well runs dry, and we need to drill a new one! That Happens!!

The solution to that is to never stop working the business.  One good piece of business leads to more. This is a concerning factor to some real estate agents.  They will vocalize they do not want “too much business.”

They narrow their options and want no more than one lead at a time. Focusing on many listings at a time and working each one with the same energy, enthusiasm and goal of reaping more is the general attitude I love to witness.

When I’m finished marketing two listings, I ask when the next two will be ready.  I know there are more and want them all exposed immediately. 4 or 5 new listings are always perceived as “that agent or team owns the town. Let’s call THEM!!!”

There’s always the right way to start the ball rolling, unless the agent is fearful of not being able to handle that momentum. That’s what separates the ‘top dogs’ from ‘the average real estate agents,’ and for that I’m always “thankful.” I like it when The Todaro Team is considered “the competition” by other agents.

Just a thought for the moment….

We have to keep reaching and asking for the business. When we get complacent, business will wane and it will show in our pocketbooks.
