No One On Earth

Most of my life I have owned and shared my life with one or more dogs. All have brought a smile to my face and touched my heart and always remind me what a blessing they are.

To Rich and I they are a wonderful gift from God that we cherish.

My Dad raised Great Danes, so for years they were my favorite breed and at one time I had three of them. Trust me when I tell you that we didn't need a home alarm system! And for the record I had 3 sons and the dogs guarded them and loved them more than anyone would ever believe.

My Father always called Great Danes the Kings of the Dog World. Till this day I agree with him but as time went by there was so much inbreeding that their lifespan became very short and all that have ever had a dog know how painful it is when they cross the Rainbow Bridge.

So I shifted to Bulldogs. Actually Rich made that happen. I never thought of owning a bulldog, I mean Great Danes than Bulldogs? But I went along with Rich for our first one since he went along with me also having a Pomeranian.

So we had a Bulldog and a Pomeranian and they were great friends.

The Bulldog we named Bubba and for 13 years he came to work with me every day, (thank God we owned the office)  in fact, he was so loved that we bought a Motor Home to take him and CeCe in when we traveled and we would sleep in a hotel and
Bubba and CeCe would stay in the Motor Home. A lot more hotels are now allowing dogs which is great but we have a wonderful pet sitter who sleeps over and takes care of our Bulldog and our Tom Cat when we travel. So you can add her to the list of things that I am thankful for.

Our current Bulldog we named Wittney in memory of our office Wittney Estates. Our agents all voted for her name and that was the name they came up with and it received a unanimous vote.

She is cute as a button and never wants to be left alone, in fact she even sleeps with us. No kidding!!!  Her best friend Lizzie recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge and Wittney was so sad. Wittney is 2 years old and Lizzie was 13 years old when she passed.

Wittney = Wittney = Lizzie & her Pop

Thurston was my first Great Dane and the winner of more awards than any dog I have ever had, not to mention that he was also my best friend for many years.

Face it, friends... nobody on this Earth, will love you more, be more patient with your mood swings, or keep your secrets better than your dog!!!

I say a dog always looks happy and is glad to see his master. Now that is love. You are blessed.

Thank you very much for telling us about your dogs.
