What I Learned This Week at ActiveRain-March 10 to March 16, 2019
I learn something new every day at ActiveRain! With this series, I try to highlight one post per day that gave me that lightbulb moment. It could be something techie, something about Real Estate or the other professions that I never knew, about a place, or about a person. Or, it could be a post that made me sit up and take notice!
March 10: Barbara Todaro Signs As a Power Tool for 24/7 Visibility and a Steady Flow of Listings
I know that when Larry and I were looking for a home, I was amazed at some of the signs I saw in front of homes. What do your signs say about you? Do you skimp on signs?
March 11: Margaret Rome Who's To Blame?
Margaret makes such a good and very mature point. Yes, it's irritating to find a door left unlocked or lights left on and if you're the listing agent it's too easy to blame the other agent. Read Margaret's post!
March 12: Hannah Williams Do You Feel You Need a Little Me Time?
What you do can take a lot out of you. You are tuned in to what they are looking for and often dealing with their emotions while pushing yours to the side.
March 13: Chuck Willman ActiveRain Members-Are We Experienced or What?
Love this post by Chuck. Many of us have more of the road in our rearview mirror than we'd like but look at all of that experience!
I so relate to this. Often I've been so focused on taking pictures of an event that I truly miss the event!
March 14: Liz and Bill Spear Will Your Customers Get Past the Front Door?
Bill has given us a great analogy that can apply to our own businesses.
March 15: Carol Williams Do You Have a Daily Check-in Buddy?
I love this!!! Larry and I used to check on our single friend many years ago and we weren't even old!!! I hope that we'll all think about this! Even if you're not alone, think about becoming someone's check-in buddy.
Sally and David Hanson Short...Doesn't Mean "Short" Time In Real Estate...
We all saw this happen back in 2008 when shorts sales popped up everywhere. If you're going to do them then you owe it to your clients to know what you're doing.
Elizabeth Weintraub Another Way They Scam On Craigslist
These scammers won't give up so it's up to us to keep our guard up. Don't fall for this!
March 16: Kevin J May It Took Years to Find Now What Are You Going To Do With It
Every new agent must have gone through this. Some still are. Where are you going and what will you do with that license of yours?
Don’t forget to check out Carol Williams Second Chance Saturday posts as well. I always find a post or two that I missed.
