This Week…Lots of Sun on the Horizon

This week I couldn’t believe it but I muttered something like “I can’t wait for winter!”  It has been brutally hot here as it is in other places but I have always preferred warm weather over the shivering cold.

Many lives are wasted by just waiting for something good to come from the horizon instead of going to the horizon and finding something good over there!

 Mehmet Murat ildan

Some of the people we tend to see on our walks have taken to walking in the mall or the gym where the air conditioning is always on. I get it but I’d still rather be outside.

When looking at an infinite horizon, you should know that you are also the horizon of that infinite horizon!

Mehmet Murat ildan

We spotted a bluebird near one of the boxes so Larry checked it out and discovered 4 eggs in it!!!

You may look into the horizon of time and see nothing, and it only means that you have very little eyesight! You must know that an infinite number of things always come from the horizon of time; they are just on the way!

 Mehmet Murat ildan

That’s a bit late for nests so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that they can withstand the extreme heat.

Similar souls wander in the similar places! They may not know each other, but often they touch the same winds, they step on the same leaves, their looks are lost in the same horizons!

Mehmet Murat ildan

One of my friends asked me “What’s on your horizon?” this week. I wasn’t sure how to answer but told them “whatever I choose to see!”

Some people close their eyes to the horizons; some people sit and watch the horizons; some visit the horizons and some incredible people go beyond the horizons!

What’s on your horizon this weekend?

Hello Kathy - thank you for sharing these quotes.  The quotes and their author are new-to-me.  Seeing those words today sent me on an Internet search which is usually a part of each day.

Hi Kathy... it's been hot and muggy here, too, but you'll never hear me wishing for winter! 4 new baby bird eggs... how wonderful... hopefully you'll be sharing some pictures.

Happy Saturday Kathy and we are going to try and stay in today in the Denver area since 98 to 100 for today and tomorrow.  We saw blue birds in Pennsylvania at my cousin house going in and out of a birdhouse.

Kathy, it has been hot here as well. We had a couple days of record breaking heat. I haven't minded it too much but I have been inside during most of it. I hope your bluebirds make it! Have a great weekend!

What is on my horizon?  To stop testing positive for the virus not to be mentioned!  I feel great, though.

I hope those little eggs hatch and you get little healthy birds!

Hi Ray Henson tried a different test?? My niece just returned from Italy and 5 in her group tested positive. For them it was like a light cough and sore throat.

Knowing where you live George Souto I can understand.

Hi Kathy,

This is a post that will be the envy of Michael Jacobs.  There is so much to ponder.  I personally want to live in the now.  When I was younger, I thought more about the horizon or future.  I still think it is good to reminisce and think about the future but it is so important to live in the now, no matter how warm it gets! Haha

Like you, I prefer warm weather to the cold.  We are moving toward more 100 degree days here in Sacramento.  That's perfect for swimming.  Although, I prefer it not get quite that hot.

Kathy, I can only imagine how hot and humid it is!   Very hot around here too, but minus the humidity.   Got near 100 yesterday and think today will be same.

Great wisdom in those quotes.  Yes it is hot here as well and we won't see anything under 3 digits temps for another week.  Thank heaves the house as AC as does the car.

Of course driving to Phoenix tomorrow which is even hotter.

Four more eggs is very exciting!

Here in NH we sometimes have no choice but to walk in the mall. I also prefer being outside but single digits and icy roads leaves me no choice.
