ActiveRain Points in the Future…

It’s been fun reading what the members have been shopping for at the ActiveRain Points Store. If you’ve missed some of the posts or want to write a post for the ActiveRain Points Store is Open! Let the July Challenge Begin!- there’s still time

What to do for the future ActiveRain Points store?? Anna Banana Kruchten CRS, Phoenix Broker did say that the sky is the limit with our imagination, didn’t she?

Let’s have some fun!  This year’s offerings included a lot of travel options so I thought I’d continue with that.

EXCEPT…the travel offered will be Time Travel…forward or back!

Have you ever seen the movie The Lake House starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock or Quantum Leap?  I believe that if we can think it, it is possible.

So in a future ActiveRain Store, you’ll be able to use your points to travel back or forward in time for one day. I talk about the Way-back machine all of the time!

Wouldn’t it be fun to revisit the day, for example,  that your first child was born…when you met the love of your life…or to go back to August of 1969 and Woodstock? You could go back even further if you wanted…they’re your points!

Going forward, agents…how nice would it be to be able to know for a fact when the market will turn?  It certainly wouldn’t hurt if you like to dabble in the stock market, either.

Now, for those of you who are not fans of Star Trek, etc, there is one big caveatit is dangerous to mess with time. You cannot change what has already happened!

Your points are good for one round-trip ticket.  One trip will take 35,000 points!

Let’s have some fun!

Hey Kathy,
Hmmmm, intriguing.

I can see going back (or forward) in time has some advantages and many dangers, too. I mean, how do we know that changing a decision we think was bad wouldn't turn out even worse?

Kathy going back or forward in time is very attractive, but it would be tough to not change things in the future or past.

Grant Schneider I wouldn't go if we couldn't return!  The question is how far back should we go in the Way Back Machine.

Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400 you know, I sometimes with the lottery was like it was when it started. Smaller jackpots (like 15 million) but more wins.

Anna Banana Kruchten CRS, Phoenix Broker it's fun to think about it even though I'm happy where I am. What is the moment in time you'd like to be present at??

Exactly Roy Kelley maybe the day that you and Chef Dolores met.

Bob "RealMan" Timm I have seen the original Star Trek series and a few of the movies. I've not seen all of them.

That's it Carol Williams in the Star Trek episode when they went back in time, they couldn't save a character from getting run over because had she lived it would have changed world history.

I often use my imagination to time travel.  But, it would be really neat if we could actually do it.

Watching DaVinci at work, or any of the Masters, would be a dream come true. Would love to see the Mona Lisa not hidden behind the security glass!

The only thing I would like to do with time travel would be to go back and visit with my dad one more time.  There would be more hugs (he gave the best hugs ever) and an opportunity for me to get his bean soup recipe and find out where he took me fishing as a kid.

Hi Kathy,

How interesting!  This is a subject that one can ponder over and over.  I love those movies you mentioned, and though I am not a huge fan of Star Trek, my husband is, so I do get the reference!

I'd like to know who designed and built the Pyramids of Giza, where the dinosaurs lived, and how to find and meet ETs. I want to believe, but, but...!!

There are so many "unexplained" phenomena and taking trips through a time travel would be the only way!! Brilliant thought, Kathy.

Wow! Seems to me that points purchase should be a lot more expensive! Great deal! Time travel themed movies and tv shows have always been my favorite. I LOVED Quantum Leap and still catch an episode now and then.
