This Week…Finally A Wee Bit of Rain
We’ll take anything we can get and this week we finally received some rain. We actually had more lightning and thunder but something’s better than nothing!

It still seems like summer to me but all I’ve seen on television are back-to-school ads and school supplies in the stores. My teacher/niece began this week…back in the classroom…two weeks before school starts.

The local chocolate shop (Copper Kettle Chocolate Factory) was back open after a week off for the owner to compete in the Iron Man Competition in Alaska. We were talking about supply issues and mentioned that she is having a hard time finding Christmas boxes for her holiday candy. She laughed that while in Alaska she had a hard time getting plastic spoons to stir her coffee!
The butterfly counts not months but moments and has time enough.

For sports lovers, this has been a pretty good week…Little League World Series regional games, the Field of Dreams game between Chicago and Cincinnati, Astros, and Pro football.
