Alameda Safety & Accessibility Program for seniorsThe Alameda Fire Department sponsors a free program to assist low income seniors and the disabled with fire safety and accessibility home improvements. Alameda Fire Department and community partners include the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda, Alameda Hospital, Mastick Senior Center, Alameda Kiwanis and the Alameda Boy Scouts. Low income Alameda residents who are 62 years of age or older and residents with disabilities are eligible for the free program. The property must be the primary residence.
