This holiday weekend marks the beginning of summer has begun! How are you spending it? Are you traveling? Spending time with family? Staying at home? Catching up on yard work, planting flowers? However you are spending your holiday weekend, please take a moment to remember all who have served (are serving) our country. Please remember what this holiday weekend is truly about. We will be having family over throughout the weekend, catching up, visiting and grilling out. And getting in some sailboat races as well! Whatever your plans, be safe and enjoy! First of all, I want to wish everyone at Active Rain and their family a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday Season. Enjoy the holiday and make some special memories this Christmas. We are going to be having numerous Christmas celebration dinners and get togethers this week with all the extended families and then to top it off, a special weekend with our granddaughers. Can it get any better than that? So, relax, remember and enjoy!

Tis the season to be.... What are you as you prepare for the holiday season? Have you already put your outside lights and/or decorations out? Our decorations are up but we decided not to do outside lights this year. Some of our neighbors from different streets were quite joyous this year and really went all out with their Christmas lights...it almost feels like we have Christmas lights ourselves with the outer glow from their lights. It is pretty and we are enjoying them. Do you have all your cards sent and your presents bought and wrapped? Do you have your family holiday plans … (3 comments)

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoyed the day with family, friends and enjoyed the delicious meals. I hope everyone remembered to give thanks and count their blessings. I hope everyone remembered those less fortunate and thought of a way to make a difference. I hope everyone remembered the sacrifice men and women in service give for us each day and gave thanks for each one of them. I hope everyone told each of their loved ones how much they love them and appreciate the person they are and will become. I hope everyone is still celebrating the gift … (10 comments)
