ginger harper agent for southport: Just Reached 1,000,000 - 02/16/21 07:27 AM

Well Active Rainers, I just reached that 1,000,000 mark and I am so pleased that this has been accomplished. It has been a fun trip and I have learned so much along the way.
There is so much knowledge with the ARs that post such valuable information from all over our fair lands. North, East, South and West. I know that we do not do business the same way all over the country but the basic skills are ture everywhere. Keeping in mind that above all, we have a unique fudicary relationship with those we represent.

I always enjoy this time of the year and this year, we are going to have a lot of family around us to enjoy the fishing, swimming and cook outs.

This is also a time that all of the family gets together to pick the grapes for the harvest and making of grape jelly and juices..

Always a fun time and we reap the benefits of the jelly all year long.

Sure does take good on a cool November Morning on Biscuits with our Grape Jelly and Butte.

I am still curious and wondering how to get Linking points in the system. I have worked on this for an
hour or so with no success. I do not understand what a tag is either. '

Tags are not key words.

I know that some of you are laughing at this old dog learning new tricks. But at least I am

Guess as we grow older, we have more time to spend with our grandchcildren. We are finding that to be true in our lives now. When we were raising our family, we were both working and tied up with the events of our day.
Now that we are retirement age, some of us have the time to spend that extra special time with the grandchildren.
We are Blessed to have these precious time with them...

From the Past...........

Do you have memories similar to these that I had of my childhood.
As a young person, our family would watch TV on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Mama would pop some popcorn and we would sit around and watch the Ed Sullivan Show. We would see the new performers enter into the entertainment arena. There was such a wide range of entertainment for us to see. I learned of Opera and Ballet on those occasiona along with seeing Elvis Presley for the first time and them Steve Wonder and the Jackson 5.

What talented these folks had.

Today we had rain again. Luckily we planted our seeds this past weekend and then the rain came. We had laid the garden out for the butter beans, sweet potatoes, squash, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Then as an added bonus, Jimmy put in giant sunflowers to brighten the garden.
We will enjoy fresh cucumbers and tomatoes from the Fall planting.. for the Labor Day..
It is anticipated that we may get some rain from a tropical depression....may be named later on this week..

ginger harper agent for southport: I Make Afgans, What do YOU do? - 02/16/16 10:30 AM

One of the things that I do as a Volunteer, is to make afgans for the folks in the Dosher Nursing Center in Southport. I have such a feeling of accomplishment when I finish an afgan and am able to take it to a perfect stranger in our Nursing Center.

I spend approximatly 40 hours Crocheting these afgans and usually spend a few hours an evening making them. I try to take at least 2 afgans to the center each month.

Believe it or not. We had enough tomatoes for 1 quart tonight.
I know that seems like a lot of work for 1 quart of tomatoes, but we grew them
WE eat them, and we want t o save what we can't eat. So You can them..

We have not had a great tomato year this year and I feel like we must preserve all that
we possibly can.

I make our spaghetti sauce with our tomatoes that we "put up"...
It is the best sauce you can imagine.

I had so many wonderful well thought out answers, and thought that it would be very interesting to find out what they rest of our colleagues would say.

Wonderful Fig Tree in a Neighbors Yard..
These are luscious Figs that we will make preserves tonight

The Tree is loaded and many are still ripening.

This bush is about 12 feet tall and the figs are about the size of a small pear.
These are the biggest Figs I have even seen in my life..
I wanted to show these to Janice Zaltman.

Hi All,
Need your help desperately. I have a strong buyer who wants to buy a Manufactured home on 5Acres of land and I am having a hard time getting a lender to loan him the money.

Do you have any experience in a situation like this. He is a young, first time buyer who is a very hard worker and can certainly make the payment.

BBandT are a possibility but I have also heard of a USAA. I do not have any knowledge of it.
So help if you can,

At this moment, my husband is in the neighbors yard, (at Neighbor's request) picking figs so that we can do some fig preserve canning tonight.
Wow...am I excited!
Worked all day. Two listing appointments and now home to can. Do you realize the work that goes into the canning process?
Actually, I love it and we do enjoy doing this together.

Happy Mother's Day to all YOU Mother's in Active Rain Land!Today was an extrodinary day around here in Southport North Carolina..
First of all, we went to Church and had a wonderful program presented by the Children of our Church, Trinity United Methodist Church in Southport. Wonderful program with lots of Singing and acting

After church, my daughters helped with Dinner.
The menu was:
Roast Beef
Rice and Gravy
Butterbeans
Peas
Corn
Biscuits with Butter and homemade Grape Jelly
Sweet Tea
.......and the meal was topped off with Strawberry Shortcake with Whipped Cream.

To say the least, a nap was in order after the family left for their own homes..

Hello ActiveRainers..
I have been trying all day to find out who to talk with here in North Carolina, particularly Brunswick County, to list foreclosed properties here.
I have shown a property that was listed in Southport and the agent is in another county. This property was not even in our MLS.

I feel that I can do a better job of representing this property to Agents, if I listed it and I had Open HOuses in it and I had it in the MLS and the local paper.

I have no idea WHO to contact..

Lisa Lowe wrote a great post regarding cleaning out your database..I am starting to do that..

I asked Lisa to please keep us posted. I have a data base with 4700 names in Top Producer. I am always afraid to delete people. I send an email out to all each month about the Stats of the Market. Then those that do not have an email...about 1000...I send letters to. In the long run...I am cleaning out bad leads...and tweeking the remaining ones.. It is a monumental task for me..

A great day today.
I had a listing appointment yesterday morning and another one yesteday afternoon. Took one for sure and think that I will get the next one in a day or so.. And guess what! Got another one this afternoon and another one on Thursday.
Seems like our sellers are wanted to do the right thing and price their property as it should be priced.
It's a GREAT DAY at COLDWELL BANKER SEA COAST REALTY in SOUTHPORT, North Carolina.
