This view was taken as I was walking through the Sycamore Glen tract in Portola Hills. The view of the Saddleback Mountains is absolutely stunning and SO GREEN!! Though I think we are a little tired of the rain, I for one am so excited it is going to hit 80 degrees this week. I am extremely grateful for the rain we have had.. In the OC market, we are in the middle of a very Hot Real Estate Market! The selling season is now until about mid-June. After June distractions such as graduations, vacations and really just summer living happen and the housing market in Orange County tends to quiet a bit. The median price point of single family detached home for Lake Forest as a whole in 2015 was approximatly $690,000 as of November 2015. However there were a record number of higher end properties that closed escrow this past year.

Why...the supply of homes continues to drive pricing with inventory of both Attached and Detached homes below 3 months, with a significant drop in inventory compared to last November. In August 14 homes were sold in Foothill Ranch, this is up from 8 in 2014, which equals a 43% increase in the number of sales. Yes I would have to say, homebuyers are out and about in SoCal.
