Chesterfield, MO road work improvements are being scheduled for the intersection of Long Road, Wild Horse Creek Road and Kehrs Mill Road.  Having been a complicated and troublesome intersection, the long awaited improvements are finally on the way.  When completed, Chesterfield residents will notice a significant improvement.  However, during the 2 year process, driving through the area will be difficult.  Road closures are planned for both Wild Horse Creek and Kehrs Mill Road which will really snarl traffic.  Already, the short 70 day closure of Baxter Road at Edison has caused long backups on both Wild Horse Creek and Long Roads, especially during rush … (0 comments)

chesterfield: Summertime Flowers on our deck in Chesterfield, MO - 09/03/11 04:11 PM
I am working on both my gardening skills and photography skills this summer.  As a result, my flowers have flourished.  My photography skills... not as much.  You be the judge!

Here is one of our Gerber Daisies

                                                 An emerging hosta bloom

                                                      A delicate vinca bloom

A multi flower planter on our driveway
Luckily, these were taken in June before the severe heat of the summer took it's toll.

chesterfield: Chesterfield, Missouri dodged a weather bullet today! - 02/01/11 12:43 PM
We were promised a storm of historic proportions.  The storm delivered 3” of sleet.  Better than the snow that could have been!  I did get to use my new snow blower though!!  It worked on the piled up sleet.  It was awesome!

We love our weathercasters but I think this storm threw them for a loop.  We had the National Guard activated and they are being used to provide needed transportation and make sure no one is stranded on the road in snowy areas.  Shelters have been opened for areas that might lose their power tonight.

Chesterfield, Missouri is certainly not known for it’s mountain lions but one was spotted the other day in a suburban subdivision in Chesterfield.  Just blocks from an elementary school and just a few hundred feet from homes, the solitary mountain lion about 28” tall was spotted on video captured by an area resident.  The resident was shocked to discover that what he originally thought was a deer turned out to be a mountain lion.
