Can you ever get tired of this beach scene at Kuau Maui?
It's not the first time, and it won't be the last, for me to show off this beautiful peaceful beach scene in front of Mama's Fish House in Kuau Maui Hawaii. When we lived just a few houses away from this beach, I would walk to the beach every morning and comb the sand for seashells. The tidepools are great for dipping in, with no worries about getting swept out to sea.

This 3 story apartment building is like nothing else along the ocean in Paia and Kuau. 3 stories with 10 units on each floor makes for 30 short term rental units with easy access to the best north shore beaches and the trendy Paia town scene. Does it get any better than this for an entry level home in Paia?

It's not often you get to see a classic home like this on Maui's north shore, with the good old fashioned stainless steel double sink that was very state of the art back then. Remember those red formica countertops? In the 60's we used to have the table and chairs that matched that red formica, with the chrome legs and trim band around the edge. That brings back some memories!

The sea turtles are making a great comeback and you can now see them on a lot of the north shore beaches where they come to rest and get some sun.

What's for sale in this north shore beach town right now at the end of 2016? Including land, condos and houses, there's a diverse selection and a big price range. Everybody wants to live close to the beaches and not too far from Costco and the airport too. With limited new construction in the area the supply is tight with mostly resales.

These windsurfer board fences are all the rage here on the north shore of Maui. You too could have one if you owned your own home in Paia or Haiku. Just save up all your old boards, and collect them from your friends and pretty soon you'll have enough for a fence. If you get enough, you can buy a bigger property and try for the world's record!

Paia Maui Hawaii 96779 - it's a small market, but it has some very high priced real estate. Currently the starter homes begin around $480,000 and the oceanfront listings start at $4,000,000 and go up over $21,000,000.
Ocean and beachfront offerings make up about half of the real estate listings market, but not the selling market. In the past 12 months, out of 38 closed residential sales only 5 were oceanfront totalling over $35,000,000. While the number of oceanfront sales are low, the total dollar volume was more than half of the total dollar volume for all sales.

Thursday is the day we head out and preview some new listings on the north shore of Maui, in Paia, and Haiku. We convene at the beautiful Maui Country Club in Spreckelsville to exchange information and network. After the meeting we car pool or drive on our own to see the homes for sale. It was a big line up of properties priced from around $500,000 and up to $6,400,000.

At the Maui Country Club in Spreckelsville they are doing so well with their family dinner nights that they are announcing a new "adults only" dinner night every Thursday. Please leave the little ones at home so the adults can have a quiet evening enjoying some of the great food that Chef Sean Christensen prepares.
What are the other dinner nights?

Paia, Spreckelsville, Kuau - on Maui's north shore - is a pretty hot market for real estate sales. There's usually only 15-25 homes for sale, and maybe a condo or two. Vacant land is pretty rare in this area. So to see 5 new residential listings come on the market already this month is quite special.

Tropical gardens at Mama's Fish House Restaurant, Maui
If you follow my blog you'll know I post a lot of pictures of the exceptional food at Mama's Fish House, or photos of the views. There's no denying the food is the star of the show when dining here, but there's more to the whole experience than just that.
They also have beautiful tropical gardens for guests to enjoy while they wait. Take a look at these pictures as an example, and you'll see what I mean. Lots of palms, ti leaves, bromeliads, dracaenas, giant taro leaves and more.
