Getting a great Realtor® to help with the sale is the first step you need to take. Your real estate agent should have a professional photographer who will take fantastic pictures of your home that will make homebuyers want to see your house in person. Getting expert advice on what your listing price should be before putting your Wilmette home on the market can make your home sell a lot faster than setting a price based on what you personally feel your home is worth. A Comparative Market Analysis uses comparable sales, or “comps” of properties that have recently sold in the Wilmette area. This will show what the market favors for a listing price. When looking at comparables, it’s important to consider certain similarities to provide an … (2 comments)

The weather in Glenview is finally getting warm, and thoughts often turn to fun in the water. If that's where your thoughts are headed, it may be time to have a look at Splash Landings Indoor Aquatic Center at 2400 Chestnut Avenue in Glenview.

wilmette real estate: What is a HELOC? - 06/01/10 01:38 AM
Just what is a HELOC? A fancy new helicopter that flies from Glenview to Wilmette in 20 seconds flat? The newest virus scan program for your computer? Maybe a HELOC has to do with helium over the counter.
Or perhaps as so often happens these days, the letters stand for something. Well, if that's what you think, you're right.
A HELOC is a Home Equity Line of Credit.
A HELOC is very much like a second mortgage on your home but it works somewhat like a credit card's revolving credit. In most cases, you'll be able to draw out funds … (3 comments)

wilmette real estate: A Special Merry Christmas to All from Marla and the Team - 12/24/09 02:56 PM
I tried to find a suitable subject for a blog post on Christmas Eve, but many of my ideas just didn't seem suitable. Talking about upgrading your kitchen to help sell your home or what kind of mortgage is the best,  just didn't quite seem appropriate on this special day.
So I've opted instead, to just wish everyone a wonderful holiday with all the blessings that may happen your way - special times making memories with family and friends, beautiful scenes of Christmas lights, happy children getting that special gift they've been excited about for weeks, and great food on the … (5 comments)
