fun: Out with my camera today and came across some EGG-cellent photo opportunities - 04/07/12 01:28 AM
While at the gym I met my new work out partner, lucky for me he breaks easier than I do, but he does seem to be doing very well on his high protein diet.
Next up, as I was leaving the gym, which is near a Walmart, I noticed White Trash Egg coming out, dressed in the ever popular Sunday best for Walmart… in a ‘70’s tube top. (Shhh, I think she stuffs)

Then, while at a concert, once again there was a wardrobe malfunction with the EGG-hibitionist. It was sad to see, but like Janet at least she had … (29 comments)

fun: Falling in love with fall - 10/23/11 06:12 PM
I love fall, the colors are amazing and as a armature photographer it gives me great opportunities to get some beautiful shots. But, kids, oh, the kids love fall for a completely different reason! As you can see even a leaf pile can be a place to play when you are a kid.
Now, if you have kids, there is a safety tip for them though. Make sure any pile they play in is located in your yard and not in the streets. If they play in piles in the street it is to easy for them to get hit by … (21 comments)

fun: Bowling with 3 year olds. In Beaverton, they don't have to be excluded! - 08/31/11 03:25 AM
One thing most people think is bowling is for big kid’s game, but, not at Sunset Lanes in Beaverton, Oregon. They have a ramp that even the littlest of kids can put a ball on that is in some cases weigh half as much as the bowler themselves. But, with one simple light push, the ball is on its way.

At that point, they are just like any other bowler, who is praying they get a strike and when they do, they do the happy dance just like the rest of us! So, if you are looking for a place … (11 comments)

fun: Giggle Snort - 08/24/11 03:24 AM
It seems I have found the most embarrassing thing in the world, the giggle snort! I love making kids laugh, heck, I like making adults laugh. But, when you get a person to giggle snort, you know you have really done it. So, today, smile, enjoy life and heck even giggle snort, you will live longer.

fun: Friends, fun and a turtle all thanks to Activerain - 08/23/11 05:18 AM
One thing I’ve always loved about Activerain is the friends I’ve made. A few years ago, I had the chance to teach a class on Activerain up at here office in Vancouver, WA and that is when I got to meet the most amazing person and we have become great friends because of that class.

Well, this past weekend we got to have a great BBQ at my friend Jill Watts' house on the Washougal River in Washougal, WA. Now, this was a great chance to meet her family and even some of her grandkids and mother-in-law.

I do … (12 comments)

fun: Activerain Raincamp my family wasn't left behind! - 06/21/11 05:34 AM
As I left Raincamp today, I went out to dinner with the family. As I mentioned at camp, I always have dinner with the family. I have to admit we had it a little late today because our first choice of places to go was closed. Then we ended up going to Kidd Valley, I enjoyed the garlic fries at the Mariner’s game way too much.
Then they told me about their day with a friend of my wife and their time at a local park seeing baby ducks and just having a fun time without daddy. (For the record that … (16 comments)

fun: How do you know you are in trouble? - 02/27/11 11:08 AM

How do you know you are in trouble? Sometimes you can just see trouble coming from a mile away, sometimes like in this case it is a lot closer than you want it to be when you are holding a very expensive camera and turn to the sound of "Hey Daddy, look!"

fun: Halloween is when I choose to celebrate with my clients and their kids! - 11/01/10 05:21 PM

This year was another successful client appreciation party and though not everyone could come this year thanks to a nasty flu bug that has been going around, we still had lots and lots of fun. With hay rides, pumpkin carving, smores, bbq and best of all friends.
Here are just a few of the pictures from this year’s event.

If you want to attend this fun event and have fun like my clients have every year, give me a call I would love to help you sell your house … (9 comments)

fun: Winning isn’t everything, but wanting to play is! - 03/04/10 04:07 PM
I’ve coached baseball and softball for at least 5 years now and one thing I’m not afraid to say is I like to win. But, it doesn’t and shouldn’t be at all cost, it needs to be fun, but I do want to make sure my players aren’t injured and they play as a team.
What sports are all about is teaching kids to learn to be part of a team and working together to reach a common goal of winning. Now if you play together, have fun and still lose, then I really don’t care, you tried and that is all … (8 comments)

fun: The Portland Trail Blazers season starts tonight, so don't try calling! - 10/27/09 09:40 AM

Summer is over and though it has been fun looking at guys like me playing basketball trying to get our fix. It is now time for the NBA to start up again and the Portland Trail Blazers start their season off again tonight again against the Huston Rockets.
Now I will be torn on the nights where the Blazers are on the same night as the World Series games, I will be watching the World Series then right back to my Portland Trail Blazers. We have a had a rough few years, but it looks like our players are healthy and … (11 comments)

fun: Hope you had a hoppy birthday! - 09/26/09 10:24 AM

Well, my oldest daughter just turned eleven and I hope she had a hoppy birthday. I know for me it sure seemed to be, and heck, it was a lot of fun as well! What made it so hoppy? Unlike most little girls her age, instead of wanting to go see Hanna Montana she wanted to go to a park and look for snakes and frogs. (And boy did we find them!)
We went to Camille Park in Beaverton, a park that we had never been to, but we knew it had a creek going through it. When we got there, she played … (12 comments)

fun: My first New Years Eve Party – An Observance - 01/01/09 03:03 PM
I know this going to sound strange, but last night was a first for a couple things for me. It was my first time seeing Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve countdown (well, I just saw the countdown part) and also my first New Years Eve Party.
Well, OK, not exactly my first, but my first as a guest! You see for 18 years, I was a DJ, so when I went to a New Years Eve Party, I was an employee. I was paid to be there and I really didn't pay that much attention to the people and what they … (22 comments)

fun: I’m in trouble and AC/DC has created a 3 year old fan - 11/08/08 11:10 PM
My 3 year old daughter came up to my ear and whispered, I have something to sing to you. I said, "OK" then that is when she started singing in a whisper.
"Dirty Deeds, Done Dirt Cheap" by AC/DC, and I'm not sure that if I should be happy that I have someone to take to concerts with me, or if I should be worried that I'm raising a juvenile delinquent.
Maybe she has seen one to many Gene Simmons postersBut, I do have to admit it was pretty cute that my little rocker girl is expanding beyond Kiss. Click here for … (30 comments)

fun: Fall doesn’t have to be all bad - 10/28/08 06:55 PM
As the weather turns cooler and the trees start to drop their leaves, it can be a time of frustration as our heating bills go up. But, some people just don't care about that, they only see the true beauty of the season and by doing that, they can bring joy to others.

You see, all the kids in the neighborhood pulled out their rakes and started to rake up a rather large pile of leaves to jump in and have a lot of fun. We had some tree trimmers working the area and they saw what the kids were doing. They … (10 comments)

fun: Amazing photos of an amazing place – Silver Falls Oregon – The Lower South Falls - 09/16/08 03:32 AM
Silver Falls State Park in Oregon has to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The Lower South Falls is only one of the 10 featured falls at Silver Falls State Park, but this park isn't for weak hearted.
To get to this fall you have to take a mile hike and the first 2/10 of a mile are very steep and take you by the South Falls and then another 8/10 of a mile hike with another 85 step drop to the falls. But the falls are a beautiful site as you can see from the photos below. This … (20 comments)

fun: My nine year old plays Monopoly and she is cruel! - 09/14/08 03:07 AM
Everyone knows the game of Monopoly and we all know what properties we want to own and which ones are less desirable. But, when you are playing a game about buying real estate, you better know your competitor or they may go for the throat and that is exactly what my daughter did when she started to lose.
You see my wife being the wise investor she was, bought some lower end properties, you know the ones I'm talking about! (Mediterranean and Baltic Ave) Well, it seems my daughter didn't want those properties and wanted only the ones that made her more … (24 comments)

fun: Silver Falls State Park, Oregon – South Falls - 09/13/08 12:47 PM
Last week our family took one of our week long camping trips, but what my wife didn't bother to tell me is we had no internet service there. Despite that, I think I have come up with some amazing photos of the falls to show you.
Silver Fall State Park is located just outside Silverton and is one of the most beautiful parks in Oregon. As you can see from the photos below the South Falls are some of the most beautiful in the world.

This picture was taken from behind the falls

For more information on the falls you can head to the … (11 comments)

fun: Our first fishing trip of the year and we caught our limit! (Detroit Lake) - 07/15/08 03:59 AM
Detroit Lake is one of my father's and my favorite fishing spots. This year we both got to do something that we have never both done at the same time, we both left with our limit of fish, and they weren't light weights either.
Detroit Lake is just over an hour and forty five minutes from Beaverton, and I have to say well worth the drive. This year, because of the late start of the fishing season, the fish were bigger and they were very hungry.
Here is a map showing our favorite fishing spot on the lake. Just promise that you will … (6 comments)

fun: The 2nd biggest 4th of July parade in Oregon was once again great! - 07/06/08 04:32 PM
The Hillsboro, Oregon, 4th of July parade was once again a great success with thousands of people showing up to see the parade that had kids, dogs, public officials, and everyone smiling.
This year we sat in front of my co-coach of my daughter's softball team who happens to have a house right on the parade route, and what awesome seats they were! Everyone brought food. A few girls had spent the night and were ready for the parade when we arrived!
This parade was better than the ones I had remembered from the past, and that may be because during the past … (3 comments)
