wonderful naples home: New Trends in bathroom Fittings & Hardware - 03/10/11 11:33 AM
Ten years ago I opted for Silestone® for my kitchen countertops as I cook a lot and, from experience, knew that granite, which is porous, can be scratched and stained by water and oil.  Silestone has antibacterial protection, can take hot pans, is impervious, and cannot be scratched unless you use a diamond.  It looks as good today as it looked 10 years ago.
In the past few years the engineered stone surfaces (“Quartz”) have improved in popularity.  I recently visited a $13 million home in the Port Royal section of Naples and the spectacular kitchen had Silestone countertops!
