When working in real estate, you have a tendency to develop a thick skin when it comes to lies. Real estate is often difficult on a normal deal without adding a bunch of needless drama! The stakes are big, and the consequences could be dire! So why not work real estate as a real professional with undivided attention? What a concept! It would be so much easier for all if the other agents would just to tell the truth, who knows? Someone may actually believe them! I thought I would delve into the reality of dealing with a really big agent in today's real estate market! My thoughts? Start running to the next listing! Don't rush to do business with them before dotting your "i's" and crossing your "t's!" Leave outs in the contract. Have contingencies in the contract tied to performance! Utilities must be on for inspection...etc! Cover yourself well! Spell it out in the contract what happens if this action is not performed! Do you remember when you first interviewed any broker? The broker was the ultimate professional, upstanding, ethical, the epitome of integrity. They informed you they were there to see you succeed in your new career. Every resource they had was at your disposal, and they were only a phone call away. Their office was nothing but full time real estate professionals...just like you. "No part-timers here!" But anytime you ever call anyone all you get is static recorded voice messages.
