Missing an Easter Egg? Uh oh!

This happens every year! We count the eggs and hide them. Most are fairly easy to find, and then....yep, one is missing at the end. My husband is in charge of hiding the eggs and has earned the title of "Captain Obvious" over the years. So we are always surprised when we are one short.

This morning was no exception! We always go through the same routine. We start by looking harder. We look in places we know he would never reach or stoop to hide them. The next step is to discuss the horrible smell waiting for us if we don't find it. Then we wonder if we really counted the number of eggs correctly to begin with. We like to briefly discuss the benefit of letting the dogs in to look...this is rejected.

Lastly.....we look and look again. I think the reward to the kids was up to $50. But in the end, I find it!

Same every year!

Happy Easter to all!

Karen

It is cool to find them later. Especially iof they are the Cadbury eggs as you cannot get them much past Easter. So finding a lost one later is a real treat

Oh I know....never hide the eggs at night. This morning the missing egg was also bright pink! How does that happen.

LOL Karen, perhaps a map would help! Great story. I remember those days. Now they will start all over again with the grandson. I think I will need a map for myself, LOL.

Happy Easter.
