I currently have a contract for a condo that is a short sale Countrywide is the mortgage holder. We submitted this contract back in the end of January 2009. We have repeatedly had to file extensions to keep this contract alive. We still havent heard a word on weather its going to be a go or no. May 1st we will starting our 4th month of waiting for any type of word from Countrywide. Hopefully we get word from them that it is a go. My clients continue to call me every week asking when its going close. I give them my standard answer that I haven't heard anything from the other realtor or the mortgage company and until we do we will have to sit and wait for the mortgage company to make their decision. Please let me hear from any other realtors that may have experienced the same problem with the same mortgage company or maybe another one.

Steven - there have been dozens of posts complaining about the lack of cooperation by this lender on AR. I point this out to my buyers and ask them why on earth would they ever want to do business with a lender such as this?

Hi Steve: Got my best results with CW when I went to the foreclosure department after several frustrating months of trying to work with the negotiators. These are 2 separate depts. Foreclosure took a look at the file and said to call back if I continued to have problems. It still took a couple more months but Foreclosure didn't like the idea that the file was getting a run-around. You might try it. Also, keep in mind that CW has to pass everything by Wells Fargo before they get the go-ahead. My closer and I split the days of the week and called or emailed every single day -- I think they got tired of us and okayed the deal.

I have had one since October, but we are hanging in there. Although it will be cheaper if it goes to freclosure we are afraid that they will bid it up or we want find out in time. I f you ever resolve your please let me know how?
