Our own run for the roses

By
Education & Training with Steve Hoffacker LLC

Today is the running of the Kentucky Derby - for the 135th time. The first Saturday in May is the "Run for the Roses."

I go to thinking, why not have our own personal "run for the roses"? Not just today. Not something short-term. Say, something that might last into the summer - til the 4th of July of beyond, but with a definite goal. Actually 9 weeks from today is the 4th of July.

So we can pick a 9 week goal.

What would we like to do? Oh, there's so much to choose from.

Listing appointments, signed listings, listing renewals, FSBO conversions, sales, new leads, gross sales volume, commissions, income, awards and designations, social connections.

Well, let's pick something - anything, more than one thing - and run for the roses. Then we can pause and reflect and smell the roses when we get there.

BTW, what's you favorite color of rose? I'm partial to the yellow for their color and the coral for their tremendous fragrance.

Steve:  How about plain old closings?  I have so many irons in the fire, but seems like forever before they get to the fniish line.

I love roses-I love the ones with tri-color in them. I want to run for closing not taking so much time. It seems here lately all of my closing I have had to extend them for one reason or another.

Hi Steve:

Looking forward to watching the derby later this afternoon.

My favorite is yellow roses also, but I do love them all.

I agree with Chris Ann...closings, actual closings!

Hello Steve,

I love all roses!  My favorite are yellow roses, especially the two-toned variety.  Obtaining more buyer's & listings would be my 9 week goal.  Enjoy your weekend!

Rita

Two-toned yellow roses are my favorite but I really love them all.  I am getting better at growing them.  Black spot seems to get to mine.  Any recommendations on how to control it?  Thank you!

Rita

Pat,

I like the tri-color, too, and oh, if those closings would just happen. :)

Toula,

Thank you for your vote for yellow, and you have made it a clean sweep so far for closings. :)

Rita,

I only watch roses, don't grow them. Sorry. Ask me about something else. Good goal, Go for it! :)

9 week goal is in place - and white roses are my favorite because they seem to pop out at night.

Ryan,

White roses do have that quality. Good luck on achieving the goal. :)
