We usually look at the local art market when we travel. Nice to see such an active group in your area.

Hi Jeff, I love these local posts and the way you illustrate your post. I think I need to get out more, LOL. Nice post and the one piece with the contemporary cubistic house image reminds of a local artist I met in PA. I went to her gallery since was a good friend of the family. She takes pictures of homes and then somehow uses the out line shadow of the image to create her art. I told her I would do a post for her but she needs to send me the photos she wants me to use. In these times I think artists need lots of publicy.

Jeff: I can see that you are proud of your community and this is a strong way to show it and support it. Art is such a great way to open up your mind. We don't all agree on what we like or understand but it makes you think. I enjoy these local posts a lot.

Terry - I enjoy it a great deal when travevling as well. There is a growing art community here

William - sounds intriguing. Would love to see an exampl of what she does.

Thanks Lloyd. I really do think this is a great community, and area, to live in. Glad that comes across, adn thanks for the compliment.

Lisa - it is one of the more colorful shows we have seen there in some time. I plan to go back and spend more time enjoying.

Yes, I love all the great things you promote and are able to enjoy where you are!! When I lived in Santa Fe I could wander all day in and around Canyon Road, and it looks like I could do the same thing where you live.

Thanks for visiting, Susie. Yep, there are some wonderful galleries, but nothing like the number and diversity of what you see on Canyon Road. That area is a treasure trove for art lovers adn collectors, IMO.
