In Athens -Clarke County, GA, for the week ending July 5, 2009 the real estate market looks like this:

There are 1780 active listings of which 1493 are residential, 22 are farm and land. This is a slight decrease of 3 listings from the previous week.

There are 195 listings under contract. This number is down 3 from last week.

There have been 21 closed sales duiring the period of June 21 - June 28, 2009, all of which were residential.

Mike, is that number right, 21 closed transactions this past week?  That is a huge jump from the previous weeks.

Mark - according to our MLS that is correct, we have been hovering around 20 for  the past few weeks or so, except last week.
