Blog to enhance existing relationships with clients and prospects
This is a very good series that Diane O. wrote. I thought it was worth reposting, I hope you do too.
Blog to enhance existing relationships with clients and prospects. Well that was the recent challenge from Bob Stewart. He challenged ActiveRainers to write a blog on how we are using our blog to enhance existing relationships with clients and prospects? Well, the Diane O and Friends team would like to share a couple of our tricks.
We all know that we do lots of research and digging for our clients, so why not blog about the results. Many of us sit at the computer and chant....but I have nothing to blog about" Well of course you do!. Remember that speech you gave your potential buyer on the importance of the home inspection....that's a blog topic. Or how about that CMA you just put together.
Rule of thumb if the information is important to one person there are probable others that would also love to learn more about the topic. Here are a few that we created recently:
- 1. When asked to "investigate a neighborhood" for a client, we then take that information and make it available through a blog. The most recent: Brentwood TN - Cloverland Acres - Great Homes on large lots with mature trees
- 2. When preparing a listing presentation of course we prepared stats on the neighborhood for recent sales and the trends. Here's the post that we used in July: Franklin Home Sales Top $47 million in July
- 3. Home Buyer Series that we present to all our homebuyers when we begin the process. We link them together in an email and also print out a hardcopy booklet.
Home Buyer Series-Part I - What every home buyer should know before buying
Home Buyer Series- Part II - Get pre-qualified
Home Buying Series - Part IV - Narrowing Your Home Search
Home Buying Series V - Choosing the Right Neighborhood
Home Buying Series VI - Working with Home Builders
Home Buying Series VII - Making the Offer
Home Buying Series VIII - Contract to Close
- 4. As mentioned above, we always stress to buyers and sometimes my sellers the importance of the Home Inspection. I then created a blog on the subject. The Home Inspection - Then What in the Home Buying or Selling Process?
- 5. Things to do around the area are important topics for our blogs. Since we work with lots of folks who are new to the area we instruct them to use our website (where we link our blogs) to learn about upcoming community happenings. Here are a couple from this week. Discover Tennessee Trails and Byways, Franklin TN - The Park at Harlinsdale Farm Family Day on November 7TH
So see there is lots to blog about and lots of ways to keep in touch with clients and prospects through your blog.
