Look What A Little Paint Can Do!

When buyers start referring to the listing as "the house with the green shutters" it is time to bring out the paint brushes.  That's what my sellers did to spruce up this 4 bedroom Farmers Branch home that is for sale for $157,500.

Before, the color was the most noticeable thing about the house.

Now, the black shutters and red door (behind the screen door) make the home look sophisticated and updated.

No more excuses for buyers to drive by and keep going.

I thiink paint does make so much different, when I sold my place I had to repaint and It sold $9,000 more from the original offered. I do agree with you Lorrie

Great example.  It's always surprising what a difference such a seemingly small change can make.

Fresh paint and carpet are still hard to beat. It really makes a difference.

Hi Lorrie... WOW!  What a difference!  With the new paint job it should certainly attract buyer attention!

I love side-by-side before and after pictures.

Sharon:  No, 3431 Cloverdale is still available.  I had 2 other homes go under contract this week, but not this one.

"I listen for a living." It's all about you.

Judging from the leaves of the trees in each shot it appears the homeowner took some convincing, or time to get the job done.  No problem, I actually think the market is better right now and will continue to be so through the spring and tax break, at least.  Have a great weekend.

Looks great Lorrie! It was on the original recommendations list and glad to see they did it. Does the MLS photo reflect the new paint? Curb appeal is high on the buyer's list.

Karen: First thing I did after taking the photo was to change the picture in MLS and for all forms of advertising for this property.

That was a weird color of green originally. Even a darker shade of green would probably have made a significant difference.
