Real Estate for Sale - See "Active Rain Virtual Tours" Group

That's right, another group for you to join, but only if you feel it will benefit you and your business! The next generation of Web Real Estate is using multi-media, and Web 2.0 technologies to market Real Estate. I have not found an MLS Virtual Tour Group yet, so I took the liberty to create one yesterday. Come by and check it out! It's brand new, it's exciting, and it's yours to post any Virtual Tour Listings that you may have!

This is a sample "Virtual Tour" from Real Estate Shows. I did this so you can see how to add a tour to this group. Links are ok, but the actual tours are what's preferred! If you need help adding your tour, please do not hesitate to contact one of the members below or myself! There are many "VT" companies out there, and they all have different HTML code or ways you can post on other sites or blogs. For this sample, I just cut and paste the code from RE Shows into the post! It's that easy!

I hope you'll enjoy our new group and more importantly, I hope the exposure your sellers property will get here helps to "Get It Sold!" When selling Real Estate in todays market requires a little bit of extra effort, a "Virtual Tour" will never be a minus to your marketing efforts. For those who like to read books, we have the Active Rain MLS Online, and for those who like to watch movies, we now have the Active Rain Virtual Tour MLS Online.

Here is a link to the new Group Active Rain Virtual Tours Welcome, and Enjoy! Happy Selling!,

Pretty similar to real estate shows but free.  I have most of my listings with a video from property previews.  Hope this helps.

Brad,  I use a company to create my virtual tours. They give me a link to use in my marketing materials and handle putting the tour into the MLS for me. How would I go about putting my tour to use in this new group?

This is what I get from the company: http://www.alookinsidetours.com/11573g.html

I am sure that the company would be happy to provide whatever I need to embed the tour, but I am not sure what to ask for. Thanks for your help!

Holly - most virtual tour companies like the one I used for this post and sample provide what's called an HTML embed code.  This is better to use than a link because I think viewers are more inclined to watch them if they don't have to click on another link, not to say you can't use links, I just think the embedded videos get more exposure and better viewing results.  Ask them if they can provide you with an embed code you can use for your Blog posts, that's all you would need from them.  Hope this makes sense and helps. :-)

I've had tours for a long time but have resisted video tours as less than 50% of the population has high speed Internet. Am now considering doing both, one for high speed and the regular tours for those still connected to a land line.

Elizabeth - there are some great VT tools here on AR.  You should contact some of the other AR members and vendors to get exactly what it is you're looking for.  I used Real Estate Shows (Jeff Turner) for this sample, there are others here too.  Just go to the members "media category" and see who is active here that might be able to offer you some options. If you run into a dead end, just let me know and I'll assist you with getting connected to someone.  :-)

Brad,

I like what you are doing but let's be honest about it.  You are creating slide shows, that's it.  A virtual tour is a whole different animal and it's not slide shows.

With that said, I still like what you have done, just call it what it is.

Vincent - true, the technical term for this specific sample would be a "slideshow" however many of the folks adding "Virtual Tours" to the group are in fact using video, and in some cases, video and photo compilations together. Either way, the consumers love to see both and usually don't get caught up in our technical lingo as much as we'd like to think they do. :-)

Thanks for this.  I'm still a newbie, but the more groups to join the better - we need more places for our consumers to view.  Thanks again.

Show and tell, that's all there is to it! Video, tours make the "home deliveries" so well. The real estate office is no longer fixed based, visited 9 to 5. Go on the road. Videos tag team the eyes, ears and breathes life in to your new real estate listing.

Nice Andrew - I was going to show members how they could add video to their ActiveRain email notifications but it requires adding a link in the comments (as you have demonstrated) which some members and the AR community consider spam if it's not relevant. Yours definitely is relevant.

I personally am allowing it specifically to prove this point.  Look how your email came to me from ActiveRain's email notification system, the video was embedded in my gmail email...  very cool!  Thanks.  :-)

Brad ... Thanks for your response. The video mini player on a front page search index is pretty neat too. Videos increase your placement with the bots 53%! Plus buyers want to see, hear and just sit there, absorbing while the videos make the home delivery. Your office is a cyber one and you better have lots of portals, transmitters, platforms humming high rpms for more market share, way way more trips to the real estate closings.
