The office phone is quiet, but my phone is not. The importance of a website.

It has been eerily quiet on the phones in my office.  The new agents are wondering what to do...

However, I still do business...why?  Referrals...great customer satifaction.


Do you go above and beyond for your customers?

If you do, what do you do?

I for one, have a contractor in place to fix any issues that might come up.  My contractor has 30 years experience and has a great reputation.

If you sell a condo/home...do you have someone you trust to come in and fix up issues that might arise?

I have found that making relationships with contractors, floor contractors, painting contractors and the like is very important in a sale.  Being able to take my buyers to see the work and to be comfortable with the contractor who I suggest is very important in the sale.

I receive most of my referrals from previous buyers, but I also get them from my website.  Do you have a website or not, if yes, does it help you, if you don't why not?

WebsiteS, video channel, blogs for this, that audience, flickr pro to show one image at a time the local flavor of your area, direct mail, knocking on doors, you work the system, see the market. Go after it.

My contractor is Jack.  He is a residential builder and has been licensed for more than 30 years.  He and his son can do it all:  H/a, plumbing, electrical, roof...what ever and Jack has saved me more times than once.  He is good at calming down the hysterical and showing us why or how he can fix it.  If it were not for Jack, I probably would have found another occupation 10 or 15 years ago.

I am trying my best.  I try to go to the office with a positive attitude every day.  When I hear the newer agents saying they have nothing to do...first I invite (or have invited) them to AR and second I ask them if they have a website.

Unfortunately, those who sit at the desk and ask for a walk in gift...are not going very far in a Real Estate career... JMHO.

Thank you for the encouragement. I work very hard to keep my contacts...most of my most recent customers are referrals from happy previous customers.

Karen, this is so true! Our phones used to ring off the wall but now we get way more contacts from our website.  And I also have a groupp of trusted contractors, vendors and services who I continue to refer to clients and it's paid off for everyone involved!!
