Since I'm already working on 2007 business planning it seems appropriate to finish off 2006...

In the "old" days I would scour the stores looking for Christmas/Holiday cards that (of course) featured cows. I've had years with great cards and years with fairly lame ones. Some years I'm really good at getting them out...others they have probably arrived sometime just before New Years.

Several years ago (2001-2002?) I discovered a photographer that took pictures of cows and did greeting cards...

Tina Garfield, Cow & Dog Photographer, Card Designer and beleaguered Cub fan (just a bonus that we share that attribute as well)

As soon as I recovered from this orgy of delicious consumer awakening... I ordered a bunch of blank cow cards, 1 year anniversary cards and a few interim period cards. All featuring different bovine characters and customized insides.

Then came the Christmas cards... and there have been some good ones! I asked Tina to send me a copy of last years card (with her © stuff on it so that I could post it here) I really liked this one:

 "Hark the Herded Angus Sings!"

May the warmth and cheer of the holidays fill your home
and stay with you throughout the Moo Year!

This year I'm going to do "here come Santa Cows"!

Do you send out Holiday cards? Or other cards throughout the year for follow up?

Holy Cow!   I like it Angus!

I had an artist do a water color of my office.  He is now in the process of doing another one with a winter theme with snow, candles in the windows and a wreath on the door.

I saw this in Pueblo West the other day. I suppose now you would like pictures of cows with hats?

Herded Angus sings!

Wow...that is too funny.

Yeah, I send out Thanksgiving cards/letters every year. Kinda avoid the holidays as I have such a diverse clientele...but they all celebrate turkey day...except the turkey.

Linda - I want to work in your office.. it looks so cozy.

Teri - I don't know, but I do generally get a few calls, thanks!

TLW - Gotta keep the name there, and that's no bull.

Ines - Thanks! (I really lucked out finding Tina)

Dena - oooh- I've never seen an Angus Ave before.. Thanks!

Eileen - I try to temper the religious aspects and then have some fun with it, but I hear where you are coming from.

did I hear turkeys? my favorite for sure. Angus after a loong work day and then a night out with the gals (Im too old for this) I am so happy seeing your bovines. It's udderly perfect. Your clients are lucky and I think they strike the right balance for diverse peeps. I am doing 'regal' turkey TG cards that's how I work it, since I don't celebrate Christmas. And for the ones I am late sending out they get New Years (sry Moo Years) cards

I'm so glad you liked my blog well enough to want to mooooooooooooooooooove to the beach!  There's lots of 'Angus' beef here in NC!  Love your cards!  Christmas at the Beach is unique too.

Cards Direct at http://www.cardsdirect.com/CardDetailEx.aspx?Pro__ProductID=3246 has lots of Beach Christmas scenes.  I've only seen snow at the beach twice that I can remember and it was quite a site to see!

Yes, I do but nothing as wild and exciting as yours. You have the market cornered on your cleverness with your cows! I didn't happen to see Omar in the herd...did Santa not pick him to be with the bunch?

Good job Angus and good reminder for all those that don't.

Angus, your cow branding is so fun.  And I like how its become 'infectious'.  People send you cow things.  We look at cow things and think of you.  Angus=one successful cow.
