Distressed Sellers

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

I consider my real estate business a ministry.  And love to help people attain their goals ... transfers, up size, downsize, etc.  It is so much more difficult to make things happen in this recession and unfortunately many sellers have gone into short sales and/or foreclosure.   It's truly painful to see the agony these folks go through.

It was relatively easy to help in the boom-time.  Now, I'm often at wit's end.  There must be many other creative ways to successfully market and sale a home - and I would like to solicit your ideas and any methods which work.

Hi Sissy,

I feel your pain.  Although at times it's like we don't want to be around to experience the distress of pain first hand with our clients...another Realtor I'm doing a transaction with recently told me, just hang in there.  Pretty soon, alot of the other Realtors will be gone and we'll be working together alot more, selling one another's listings.  Hang in there, if you can.  There may be lots of great stuff ahead :)

It has been trying times the last 3 years!    Hang in there --- the strong ones will survive!    Also, the distressed sellers/buyers you are helping during THEIR tough times will always remember YOU helped them!

Sissy--- It sounds like you have a big heart. Your view that your real estate business is a ministry really hit home with me. It is a view I share and know that it brings both joy and sadness. As Todd said in his post "Hang in there"
