What if a single click could convert your entire Blog or Web-page to a different language? How about 18 different languages? That would be very cool. Well, I get excited about this stuff because I see there is a potential to reach more readers, have global potential with your business, and use the latest and greatest technology to enhance and grow your relationships. Possibly breakdown the language barrier between you and your clients and readers.

I have a client who speaks 12 different languages. She is an Active Rain member, and I hope she'll find this post! I would love to see how she might use a tool like this. This could be a huge opportunity to open up the marketing floodgates all over the country! The best way to find out, is of course, to do a post on my Blog and see what others have to say.

Go ahead and try this, convert this post to any language you choose. I'll show you how to add this to your Blog, Website, or any other HTML Internet web-page! Some of you will read this and go get it right away, there are others of you that may not be familiar with HTML and how to place it on your AR profile or Blog. This is just another little tech tip for you in trying to help you, "Get Your Arms Around Technology"

If someone does contact you to do business from another Country, or even locally, but speaks another language, how do you do business with them now? I'm sure many of you will have some great ideas on how to utilize this tool in your business, I just wanted to bring it to your attention. This is "NEW", and available....for FREE! It's a good life! John - I got the same pop up you did. I clicked ok, then everything worked fine. I was able to type a comment, but I had no idea what I was saying until I converted it back to english. I thought this would be a tool at least worth looking into. Maybe Ray from Colorado will be able to help a little more. He speaks fluent Spanish, and will be a great resource to see how to better use this and confirm it's accuracy! :-)

John - after some further research, it appears that AR gets an error on the page when trying to leave a comment. It may be a read only translator which would still allow people to read your blog or website in their native language. I guess they'd have to pick up the phone and call you if they needed more assistance. That's not such a bad thing either. This world communication thing will always be a work in progress and I anticipate it will just keep getting better and better!

This could be good is you speak the languages. But if I get someone that speaks Turkish and I haven't a clue what would I do with them? Heck if I got an email in Turkish it would take a Google search to figure out it is Turkish! LOL

Ashley - this is exactly the type of comment I was looking for! Thank you so much for proofing the translation in Turkish. I wonder if it is the same for Spanish? Either way, I see that this new technology has a ways to go before even getting close to perfection. Thanks to you, I can see saving myself, and others, a lot of embarrassment, by removing it from our blogs. Thanks for your help on this, you're a translating savior! LOL! You have to admit, it would be a really cool tool if it were more accurate. B-)

Brad several years ago my MS account rep ( I was in software sales) spoke a 2nd language. He would get a huge kick out of the jumbled mess I would email him. I was using Alta Vista Babel Fish to translate a short sentence in English into this other language. I know when my husband has tried it with German is off as well. It might be close enough that they get it but then again we might be saying something rude. I would be interested in what others who understand the language well think of the translation. I should see if I can get someone who can read Spanish to translate it for me. It has been over 25 years since I took a Spanish class and 20 for French. So I am beyond rusty.

Ashley - I'd love to see if we can find a translator that is very accurate for all these members to use in their business. We are such a diverse culture with so many languages, it would be nice to find a translator that was as good as human. I'll keep searching, if you'll keep testing....rusty or not!! LOL!~

Gita - you might want to look into this one before you try learning from it. I have only had a couple responses above that said it was not very accurate, but I don't speak any other languages besides english and escrow. Well....maybe a little bit of technobabble! :-)
