The Moon over Michigan, well, our part of Macomb Twp. Michigan, is somewhat cloud-covered.
The impact on the living entities, however is clear & full:
...the neighbor boy-man left the house earlier this afternoon, leaving the garage door open to all. Since this house is on the "T" of our N - S street & the side street, any & all who drive up the side street can see zero cars in drive & door wide & welcoming.
...2 of our neighbor pups started barking [ they do that a lot, for a variety of reasons], and the chorus started up & down the blocks; these 2 then had the nerve to carry-on as if they were being challenged. If our Beagle-Basset was still with us, he would have let the entire 6 block area know who he thought was Boss. We have zero rational for any type of complaints concerning barking as a result of living with Bruno--so we laugh & go on about our business.
...since this is the last full week before the start of the 2010 - 2011 school year AND full moon, we have seen a parade of kiddos wandering around the streets; some manage to direct themselves to the local 7-11 on 21 Mile road which is only 2-3 blocks away; while one group walked past on the side street, texting, talking, & totally out-of-sorts about vacations end. They went by 3 times, & the last time just shrugged as if to say 'it seemed to be a good idea at the time...'
...the sound of sirens [ mainly Police ] can be heard on 21 Mile Rd. about 3 blocks away & on Hall Rd. / M - 59 about 1.5 Miles away. Thankfully, the Fire trucks have NOT been out tonight, which is a good sign.
...all of us in our immediate area are flush with thanks that the Tornado that touched down 2.3 blocks away on 21 Mile rd did not hit us; though we received some wind & hail-related effects, none of us had anything serious.
...Sal & I had just returned from the " Hurricane area / Florida" where nothing other than some rain storms happened & our first day back, there were two touch downs of Tornadoes in our immediate area ; and two individual Tornadoes in Macomb County. go figure.
...as I type this, I can hear more sirens and I am in the basement with no open windows--they are out there and fully experiencing the effects of the Full Moon's pull. May those fools not impact some other families tonight, not injure our first responders.
...One final note: there is a new Band in our area; this band is comprised of 5 experienced musicians, who have decided to join together one more time & form this local band. They call themselves "Mid Life Crisis" how great is that! [more on this band later on this week when the Moon is no longer FULL.
looks like you are ready to write some fiction. Interesting chapter. Love to see the beginning of this story. Write on
Full moons usually mean offers - thanks for reminding us Barb & Sal :)
great descriptive synopsis of your neighborhood too!
sincerely,
grace
Stan...'the beginning of this story'...Hum-m-m...I think that the story is what it is. one item: the man-boy-child left that house open to all until after 12 Midnight [turned off our ;porch lights at that time--was not being nosey LOL], apparently the parental entity did not arrive home. Yes, we do have an interesting area, but then most also do too. Have a good week. Hope that Ohio is treating you well.
Barb
Grace & Jeff....they DO?...darn, we haven't put our Home on the Market yet; but it will be on for the Full Moon during September--so-o-o, from your lips to The ONE Buyer in our area. LOL
Seriously, have heard of many results of the 'push or pull' of the Moon, but never that great item.
This is a fun neighborhood where folks are friendly but unobtrusive; where one can wave, smile & chat-on-the-run; where we could set out clocks by the local teen returning home at 2:00 a.m. with the beat of the drum / base on his radio--as he came South to turn East on the side street he would turn down or turn off his music. We decided that he didn't want to 'announce' his arrival at home, while being oblivious to the fact that he could be heard for over a 1/2 mile away. He is gone now, or has grown up a tad. thanks for the comment & have a great week. GET those deals, we still are in the Full moon here in Michigan.
Strange things happen eh. Very good read here Barb. I like the comment about a book from Stan above.
Robert..well, thanks & I am certain that you could write many fun things about Grand Rapids,as well. have a great week...remember what Jeff & grace said about the full Moon & deals as we here in Michigan are still in the aspect of Full Moon even today.
Barb
Gotta beware of those full moons, but sometimes they bring out good things!!!
Carra...You got that right...at least the rule of 'if it could, it probably will / would' applies to us. The pull will be minimized soon, as we move away from 100% Full--did not realize that 100% Full could span 24 + hours though, but remember that rule I mentioned. LOL Thanks for the comment. have a great week.
Barb
