San Jose Short Sale Listing Agent asks: What is HAFA?
I called the listing agent on a San Jose Short Sale to schedule time for my Buyers to see the property. I asked the listing agent all the questions I typically ask. The conversation was flowing smoothly ... until I asked:
Does the seller qualify for HAFA?
The Listing Agent responded: "What is HAFA?"
San Jose Short Sales require "specialized knowledge and training."
Sellers Beware!
Hiring a real estate agent who is not trained and/or certified in managing short sales
is like going to a foot doctor
when you are experiencing migrane headaches!
Indeed both may be doctors ... and both require a license to practice medicine. However without the specialized knowledge and training a foot doctor may not be able to help solve your migraines.
A real estate agent attempting to manage short sales without specialized knowledge, training and certification may likely cause a San Jose short sale homeowner more harm than help. If your San Jose Short Sale agent does not know what HAFA is ... how much do you think they really know about managing and negotiating Short Sales?
If you, or someone you know, is having difficulty making mortgage payments and don't know what to do, understand you do have options.
