Jim, having had to cut wood for heating for so many years I was always amazed at the juxtaposition of how long it took the tree to grow and how short a time it took to cut it down.

Started counting the rings and gave up when they got way to close together.  At one point, a slice of that would have made a great coffee table, but to far along now.  Great picture.
