~ The Lights are On & Waiting for Santa ~
I love my neighbors and my neighborhood. Many of my neighbors show their Christmas spirit by decorating their homes. I live in the Highland Pointe subdivision (Trailridge) in Centennial, Colorado just minutes from Southlands Mall. I have chosen 3 of my favorites to share with you. They decorate every year and they change it up every year. We never know what to expect, but are all happily surprised when the task is completed. Enjoy the photos.
This is Brian and Anne's house. Every year they put a new message on their roof. We always wait in anticipation, wondering what it will be. Last year they wrote "Nice Naughty" with an arrow pointing straight down to their house under 'Nice' and an arrow pointing to the neighbor's house under the work Naughty. What was so clever was the neighbors all got involved. Each of the neighbors then, put an arrow in their window and pointed it to the next neighbor. I think, this went on for 5 or 6 houses.
This is Conrad and Sandy's home. Sandy uses rock climbing gear to put up the decorations. Their home is always sharp and clean and crisp looking. They also decorate their backyard as well. They back to the walking path and the creek/ open space.
I have only spoken to these folks once. I do know that the husband does not decorate until after his son's birthday which apparently is in the beginning part of December. They live on the corner of the entrance to our subdivision. He puts up lights along his entire fence line, which makes for a nice entrance into our quaint little subdivision.
