Testimonials in real estate are pretty common, easy to collect, post and be seen around the global village.

My parents won a trip to Paris France and London France that way about 47 years ago.

Now a piano player on a cruise ship can lament he is just one negative comment away from walking the plank and being kicked off the boat at the next island stop if everyone is not a happy camper.

So sure, he'll play Piano Man for the fourteenth time this evening if that is what the circle of getting sloshed cruisers shout, hoot and holler for or demand. And he'll do it with a big warm smile. Every time to stay a float.

Your real estate site has testimonials. When you study the google map for a new area, you see comments about a place to eat, a hotel to stay at. You see comments like "the cookie at tea time was stale" or "the toilets at this hotel stop working each noon we stayed at the place" and you factor it all in to your decision on how to spend your money.

The direction you take is fact finding and scanning down through what is on line. And some of the comments make you wonder did the business itself insert this one. Your fellow surfer has more creditability than a paid, sponsored ad.  And advertisers, businesses have realized the media is not the trusted resource on what to do when opening the wallet. Maine, big state, four season gorgeous outdoor recreation in your backyard. I use Youtube real estate, local community videos to show and tell.

Andy, Valid point.  Those little cookie crumbs detailing experience about us can make or break someone's decision to call us.

Testimonials are great sales tools, and I have to start asking clients to video them.  I did check out some of your videos about Maine and really enjoyed them!

L and B... when they say jump, you without thought say how high when you are dealing with the public, in the service industry.

Margaret..the nearly 450 videos we use are pretty darn effective. I like the show and tell for real estate listings. The area event ones but the video the seller or buyer for the Jack Horner what a good boy am I have been too much for me to enter in to. I think less broker, more property, more area the listing is in is the way to roll.

I am moving away from written testimonials to videos.  I have not yet discovered the best use of them.  They are on my blog and on my site, but I need to have them go "viral".
