This Old Photo Is Wrong On So Many Levels

By
Home Stager with Sharon Tara Transformations

I intended to post this photo Wordless,

but I can't do it.  There is just too much to say about it...

painting the houseI am sure my cousin and I were wearing bikinis while painting the house because we wanted to get some sun...but what was my thought process on adding the June Cleaver apron?

With all that debris on the ground, I have to question our choice to go barefoot.

What is the chair for?

Lets talk about my brother.  Which is worse...the dress shirt with a bathing suit or the black socks with the sneakers?  Or how about...the dress shirt and black socks with the bathing suit and sneakers?  It's like he couldn't decide whether to go to church or to the beach.

Those legs next to my brother belong to my mother...obviously the foreman on this job...although my brother's body language says he believes to be in a position of authority.  Why are neither of them working?

Interesting that  only the females are barefoot.

Just noticed we are standing in the shade...there goes my explanation for wearing the bikinis.

Have I missed anything?  What do you find most interesting about this photo?

It's always fun to look back at older pictures and wonder, what were we thinking?

JoAnn:  Brilliant!  Why didn't I think of that?

Pat:  Thank you!  I think John is right, the black at the top is that black paper that goes under shingles.  Most of the family will see it if they read the post via facebook.

Darrell:  We all have them, no one can escape the past!

Sharon, Great photo from a different day and age for sure!

What I noticed and find rather funny in addition to all the other things mentioned is, how your cousin is so concerned about her right hand getting paint on it with that one glove while having no other protection for her body other than a bikini!!!  Maybe there is another glove on her left hand, hard to tell....

Gloria:  Very perceptive!  I didn't notice the gloves. (yes she has both hands covered)  She got the gloves and I got the apron...who knows why, LOL!

I had to read most of the comments to find out that you  were serious about this being a photo of your family.   First thought it was a joke.

My neighbor still cuts his lawn wearing black socks.

I like the guy on the ladder with one foot on a chair.

Funny

OMG...this is an awesome photo...your brother is the best!

What else do I find interesting?...that you started painting from the bottom up instead of top down!

Marchel:  That's why I wanted to share it...I wanted to see what others noticed.  I am glad so many people found it entertaining.

Valerie:  I think my brother is the highlight of the photo.  I would love to see him in that exact outfit today, LOL!

Sharon - this post is the most fun I've had in ages!  I love it.  It's a true classic.  And by the way, you were wearing the apron to keep your brother's cooties off of you (or so you probably told him)

Thanks for going in the time machine to share this photo with us! I need to do the same. I'm sure I could find some doozies!

My favorite thing in this photo is your brother's confused attire!
