Nothing beats a face to face connection. I suppose that is why Facebook has caught on in popularity. Remember the days of AOL chat? Or the other chat rooms around when the internet was in its infancy?
When you meet a new client of have a new connection- have you asked them, "hey, are you on FaceBook?"
It is definitely worth the question. There you will find the same types of people as your client is. It might be a great source and will do it's job with keep you up front with their Real Estate dealing.
The internet is full of information and seeming too much for some people that are wanting to find a qualified service provider. With all of the Ghost Sites utilized by "Big Real Estate" to capture leads and sell them to the various agents that utilize their "pay for" services - it is no wonder why the "face to face" continues to be the number 1 way to connect with potential clients.
If you Active Rain - then continue to do so. If you have an outside Blog - continue to do that as well - but don't forget your roots - handing out cards hand over fist and making the introduction to those you don't know.
"A scared man dies a thousand deaths - a Brave man dies only once..." unknown
Finally, a strange thing about the internet - when we ask in a blog post for folks to re-tweet or facebook like what we have written, it happens. If we don't ask, then it doesn't. The same applies to the face to face contact - ask and you shall receive. (that is not only Biblical - but it works in "Real Estate")
