Atlanta Signs of Spring 2011 – Picture Perfect!

Every year after a few snows (or possible snows), Atlanta residents look forward to the first signs of spring in late February.  The dogwoods are the first and already blooming. Crocus flowers

and Bradford Pear trees not far behind.  As we move into March, more and more of nature will start to come alive with a gorgeous finale in the early April time frame with all trees blooming and azaleas in full bloom.

Check out the early action we are starting to see around town.  It put a smile on my face to see the blooms over the last few days.

What are you seeing come to life?

David,

Actually, I do love the snow, but mostly for just a few days, then I am done!  If we get .25 inches in Atlanta it shuts the city down:-)

All the best, Michelle

Nice to see that things are starting to bloom in the Atlanta area Michelle. That means we're not too far away from the same here in the Raleigh area.

Janice

I was just thrilled when I spotted blooms earlier in the week...

Toula

Ginger is awesome - a fabulous dog and she is loving the spring weather.

Tony

Thanks, I was excited and after I took these photos yesterday, I am seeing more blooms today

Andrea

Hope it will be there soon.  I know we run a good 6 weeks earlier than the north.  (I remember flying into NYC 20 years ago for an April 19th wedding in MA and being shocked that I had left a totally green city to arrive in a totally brown area....)

Craig

Soon - and very soon you will see the green:-)

All the best, Michelle
