Sunday afternoon--a post for Judi Barrett
After another 60 hour week, it was time to pull away today and spend an afternoon with my husband. Today we headed north, through San Francisco, across the Golden Gate bridge, to the Tennessee Valley Trailhead near Mill Valley, California. The entire afternoon was spent chatting, filling our lungs with crisp air on a sunny day, as we worked our way up and down hills in the most beautiful country you can imagine.
As we approached the Green Gulch Farm near Muir Beach, I thought of my Active Rain friend, Judi Barrett, who loves her life on her Oklahoma farm. I wanted to share this bit with her. I know she'll understand my feeling of joy at the beautiful sight of fields of various salad greens, including lots of chard. The sun shining through the leaves and onto the stalks was beautiful, indeed.
So Judi -- this post is for you. As you were having your family sing along at your house today, a friend in California was thinking about you!
Wishing you all hearts full of joy and beauty.
