"Location tops the list of features for Palo Alto's Everett House"
.... so starts an old newspaper clipping from the now defunct Palo Alto Times Tribune, believed to have been published sometime in 1967. One owner is quoted in the article as saying she and her husband enjoyed being able to walk to a movie without worrying about parking their car, and that her husband would walk to the train for his commute to San Francisco. That owner moved to the Everett House after their children were grown and they decided, "to flee the day to day maintenance and care of a yard and pool."
These benefits remain attractive today, especially with the price of gasoline now topping $4.00/gallon! And today's owners have many delicious restaurants and coffee shops to enjoy as well, just steps away from home.
Potential owners will soon be able to visit Unit 2-C at the Everett House to see if it would be the right place to call home. This spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit, over 1600 square feet in size, will be on the market in a matter of days.
